Yen exchange rates for cross-border decisions
Reference rates for the yen against six major currencies, from the Federal Reserve Board's H.10 release. Every rate shows the date it applies to. The data is published weekly, so rates are several days old and can be more than a week behind the market. Reference only. Not a forecast, and not investment advice.
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, H.10 Foreign Exchange Rates
FX rates based on Federal Reserve Board H.10 data, several days to over a week old. Not investment advice.
Why these numbers
Every cross-border price is really two numbers: the price itself, and the rate it is converted at.
A quote, a margin or a valuation that works at one rate can fail at another, whether you are leaving Japan or entering it.
We present these rates the way we treat every number in our work: with its source and its date, and without a prediction.

Disclaimer
The exchange rates on this page are provided for general reference only. They are based on the noon buying rates in New York published by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in its weekly H.10 release. Because the Board publishes these rates once a week for the prior business week, the figures are several days old and can be more than a week old. The date shown with each rate is the New York business date to which it applies. Cross rates not published by the Board, including yen rates against currencies other than the US dollar, are calculated by Pivot from US dollar rates. These figures are not quotes and do not represent rates at which any transaction can be made, and they may contain errors or omissions. Nothing on this page is investment advice, or a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any currency or financial instrument. Please make investment decisions at your own judgment and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional. The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is not affiliated with Pivot and does not endorse Pivot or this page. Use of this page is subject to our Terms of Use.
